I closed it and everything, then started the install process. I remember this happening once or twice before, though I seemed to be able to get around it--it tells me that it couldn't access Miranda32.exe to overwrite it, basically. WTF? Any thoughts? Is it not completely closing when I tell it to?
Try checking your task manager under the processes tab and see if you find Miranda32.exe. If so, kill that, and try the install again. It seems signing out, neither from the symbol menu in Miranda itself nor the system tray will close it completely, unfortunately.
Thanks! I will try that! I feel super stupid now hahaha. I normally don't have technical difficulties like that, but of course I will when it's a more offbeat technology.
don't sweat it. I repeatedly had that problem when I first started using it, and it gave me quite a headache, to say the least. haha.
